Sports nutrition brand 226ERS reaches a sponsorship agreement with UCI Gravel World Series Sea Otter Europe Girona and becomes the race’s new title sponsor. The 226ERS UCI Gravel World Series Sea Otter Europe Girona will gather the world’s best cyclists to conquer the throne of a competition beloved by gravel enthusiasts. The agreement promises to raise the bar even higher of a race that was already a success last year, when it was held for the first time.
The organisation celebrates this alliance and is proud to have the support of a leading international brand in its industry. The race will once again be part of the Sea Otter Europe programme (September 19, 20 and 21), being one of the main attractions within the enormous range of sporting events offered by the festival.
226ERS is compromised in developing the best products with the most natural and highest quality ingredients. Details such as reducing or suppressing sugar, not using palm oil out of ecological awareness and having gluten-free, vegan and GMO-free products are part of the brand’s philosophy. Besides being official title sponsor, 226ERS sports nutrition brand will be at the race supplying first class products such as energy gels, bars and salts at the feed stations.
The announcement comes after a successful first edition of UCI Gravel World Series Sea Otter Europe Girona. The stars of this sport travelled to Sea Otter Europe, held in Girona, one of the gravel capitals. The event attracted the attention of Matej Mohoric (current gravel world champion at that time), and well-known faces from the cycling world, such as Alejandro Valverde, Matevz Govekar (winner of the race), and Samuel Sánchez, among others.
The women’s field was equally well represented with cyclists such as Alicia Gonzalez, Alison Jackson or Tiffany Cromwell, winner of the race. In total, around 750 cyclists took part in the competition. The organiserexpects to exceed this number for the next edition on September 20.
